After losing his wife seven years ago, Dr. John Dolittle (Robert Downey, Jr.), a renowned physician and veterinarian for Queen Victoria England, stands behind the towering walls of the Dolittle mansion and captures only exotic animals for the company. But when the young queen (Jesse Buckley, the Wild Rose) becomes ill, Dolitle must embark on an epic adventure on a mythical island in search of the antidote and regain her intelligence and courage as she crosses old enemies and encounters incredible creatures.
